Silicone based render is distinguished for its long lasting and aesthetically pleasing look as well as its hydrophobic, self-cleaning properties and it resistance to biological growth.

EWI pro’s EWI-075 silicone render is available in a range of grain sizes including 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm, to create a textured finish. The EWI-075 silicone render is a pre mixed, ready to use render unlike other dry mix renders. This render is competent for use on many surfaces such as concrete, traditional plasters, brick, chipboard, and gypsum substrates. The render itself is available in a range of colours and shades to suit anyone’s taste.

Silicone render is extremely breathable and particularly flexible, creating a protective barrier on the surface of any building that is resistant to mechanical impact and UV rays. Once set firm this product has outstanding water repellency and frost resistance with vapour permeability and requires minimal aftercare if applied correctly. The drying time of this product could range from 12-48 hours depending on weather conditions and humidity.

Application

Silicone render should be installed over a primed fortified base coat layer to guarantee a long term durable system that can withstand cracking during any movement. EWI-220 Basecoat Adhesive or EWI-225 Premium Adhesive with embedded EWI-66640 Fibreglass Mesh is recommended for creating this long-lasting resistant complex. It should be applied using a stainless – steel trowel to ensure a textured even finish.
