Cleaning EWI Pro Renders in 3 Simple Steps:

Step 1 – Jet wash

Cleaning your EWI Pro render starts with a jet wash. Whether it’s Monocouche Scratch Render or one of our coloured renders, we advise adjusting the power of the washer in order to prevent render damage; a gentle jet wash can effectively remove any dirt and grime that has built up over time. If your property has a dashed finish, this method of cleaning is not suitable as it may encourage the dash aggregates to drop. We advise cleaning your render in good weather conditions so that the surface of the render dries out quickly.

Step 2 – Soapy Water and Brush

Once the render has been washed using a jet wash, we recommend using warm water with a suitable detergent and a soft bristled brush or sponge for any particularly stubborn patches. We advise against scrubbing the render or using a harsh brush as again this can damage the surface of the render.

Step 3 – Fungicidal Wash

EWI Pro Fungicidal Wash is a proven biocide and can work miracles on completely abolishing any signs of algae or organic growth. The wash can be left to work for 12 hours, after which all algae should have been destroyed. gently wash down with a low power jet wash to remove any remaining Fungicidal Wash from the surface of the render. We recommend using a Fungicidal Wash every year or so to prevent excessive build-up of organic overgrowth, which can be difficult to rectify.
