Product Overview

EWI-746F Fine Finish Lime Render NHL 2 is a dry-mix natural hydraulic lime finishing render and plaster formulated with NHL 2 as the primary binder for breathable render and plaster systems. Made with selected sands and performance-enhancing additives, it is designed to provide a finer finishing coat with good workability, vapour permeability and compatibility with traditional masonry backgrounds.

As part of the EWI Pro Lime Range, it is intended for projects where a breathable, lime-based finish is required and where a more compatible alternative to dense cement-based materials is preferred.

Intended Uses

EWI-746F Fine Finish Lime Render NHL 2 is intended for use as a fine finishing coat over EWI-746 Lime Render NHL
2 within breathable render systems.

It is suitable for internal and external applications where the binder strength is appropriate for the substrate, and is particularly well suited to heritage, conservation, refurbishment and breathable wall build-ups where moisture movement and substrate compatibility are important. It can be finished by floating or sponging to achieve the required surface texture.

Application Conditions

Do not apply EWI-746F Fine Finish Lime Render NHL 2 when air or substrate temperatures are below 5°C, above 30°C, or where freezing conditions are expected. Freshly applied material must be protected from rain, wind, frost and rapid drying during and after application.

During curing, the render should be kept damp where necessary and protected from direct sunlight and drying winds for at least 2 weeks, and longer in colder conditions. Protection may include sheeted scaffolding, damp hessian or regular dampening in sheltered conditions.
