EWI-310 Universal Primer

Product Overview

Universal Primer is designed to boost adhesion between materials and the substrate. It is an integral preparatory product for smooth surfaces where an artificial key is required, containing quartz aggregate to create a textured finish that allows adhesive layers to bond effectively. Tinted red for ease of application, it helps ensure a robust and reliable finish.

Intended Uses

Universal Primer is used to prepare walls prior to the application of adhesives. It improves adhesion of the adhesive to the substrate, aiding application and reducing absorbency at the groundwork stage. The inclusion of quartz aggregate creates a strong, textured surface onto which the adhesive layer can bind easily.

Application Conditions

Application and setting temperatures should be between +5°C and +25°C. The primer should be applied in temperate weather and must not be used in temperatures above 30°C. Application should be postponed if the substrate or materials are frozen.

Do not apply in rain, humid conditions, or where wet weather is expected before the primer has dried. Drying time is typically between 12 and 48 hours, depending on environmental conditions and humidity.
