Product Overview

Orange/White Fibreglass Mesh is a high-quality 165 g/m² reinforcing mesh designed to add strength and flexibility to external wall insulation and render-only systems. Manufactured from fibreglass and coated with an acrylic acid copolymer, it offers excellent resistance to water, alkalis and age-related degradation. When embedded correctly, it helps reduce the risk of cracking and contributes to the long-term durability and performance of the finished system.

Intended Uses

The mesh is intended for use within the basecoat reinforcement layer to provide tensile strength and improve crack resistance across the façade. It is also commonly used to reinforce stress-prone areas such as around window and door openings, movement joints and zones exposed to higher impact, where additional reinforcement is required.

Application Conditions

Orange/White Fibreglass Mesh should be fully embedded into the fresh basecoat reinforcement layer, ensuring it is positioned in the upper third of the basecoat. Vertical joints must be overlapped by a minimum of 100 mm to maintain continuity and prevent cracking at junctions. Additional mesh pieces should be incorporated at stress points, including corners of openings and vulnerable areas, to improve resistance to movement and impact. Correct overlap and placement are essential to ensure the structural integrity and long-term performance of the system.
