PRO-313 Internal Grit Primer

Product Overview

PRO-313 Internal Grit Primer is a concentrated, acrylic-based grit/primer for preparing absorbent substrates before plastering and other internal finishing works. It helps regulate surface suction, improve adhesion and create a uniform, vapour-permeable base for subsequent coatings. Its distinctive green tint also acts as a visual guide during application to help achieve even and complete coverage.

Intended Uses

PRO-313 Internal Grit Primer is intended for internal priming of porous, absorbent or weakened substrates before the application of plasters, gypsum adhesives and other internal finishes. It is suitable for internal mineral backgrounds such as masonry, plasterboard and previously plastered surfaces where improved adhesion and controlled suction are required. Not intended for external use unless specified by EWI Pro technical guidance.

Application Conditions

Apply evenly by brush, roller or suitable spray equipment to achieve full surface coverage. Work the primer well into the substrate so that absorbency is regulated consistently across the full area. Apply only when both air and substrate temperatures are between +5°C and +25°C. 
 
Typical drying time under standard ambient conditions (+20 °C, 50% RH) is approx. 2 hours. Allow a minimum of 12 hours before proceeding with plaster, adhesive or internal finish applications. Protect freshly applied primer from dust and adverse conditions while drying.
