Our EPS and Mineral Wool systems are expertly designed to improve your home’s thermal performance, aesthetics, and overall safety. This extends to fire safety and performance. Mineral wool is renowned for being non-combustible, holding an A1 fire-rating. The systems that include our Silicone Renders are rated A2 and fire-resistant for 120 minutes. EPS systems have been designed so that the fire rating satisfies stringent Building Regulations regarding fire protection. As such, it meets the B-class classification with 45 minutes of fire resistance.

The EWI Pro and Store group holds several key partnerships with installers and suppliers, especially in relation to the provision of retrofits through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. All provisions must be made by TrustMark and PAS2035-qualified installers. EPS is integral to our offering for SHDF projects due to its exceptional thermal performance, moisture resistance and cost efficiency. When integrated into our EWI systems, EPS effectively lowers U-values in line with Building Regulations and enhances thermal comfort. Crucially, integrating our insulation solutions into social housing projects directly tackles fuel poverty and reduces carbon emissions.
