Substrates must be prepared in accordance with EWI Pro system requirements, with insulation boards installed and a reinforced basecoat applied prior to rendering. The product should be mixed with clean water to achieve a workable consistency and applied in two coloured coats. The first mortar coat is typically applied at 6-8 mm to form the base layer, followed by a 3-5 mm finishing coat while the base remains wet. Using appropriate templates and cutting tools, the top coat is then cut back to reveal the mortar layer beneath, creating the brick joint pattern. Application should take place between +5°C and +25°C, avoiding rain, frost, strong winds and rapid drying conditions during curing.
